New LEGO NINJAGO graphic novel confirmed for 2026

The LEGO Group, Skybound and Image Comics have announced a new LEGO NINJAGO graphic novel is on the way in 2026, offering a deeper dive into the Serpentine War.

LEGO NINJAGO: Strike of the Serpentine comes from emerging talents Will Morris and Cameron Chittock, and promises to tell the ‘secret history of the fan-favourite Spinjitzu brothers’ when it arrives on bookshelves in February 2026. The story will follow Wu and Garmadon as they assemble the Elemental Masters to fight in the Serpentine War, which has been referenced throughout multiple seasons of the NINJAGO TV series.

NINJAGO fans have always wanted a deeper dive into the Serpentine War, and Strike of the Serpentine is a bigger and bolder story than anything we’ve done before,” said Nachie Marsham, Senior Editor at Skybound. “More characters, more powers, more adventure, it’s gonna blow people away!”

LEGO NINJAGO: Strike of the Serpentine is the third graphic novel to come out of the partnership between the LEGO Group, Skybound Entertainment and children’s book publisher AMEET, following LEGO NINJAGO: Garmadon and LEGO NINJAGO: Shatterspin (both penned by Tri Vuong).

“Working on Strike of the Serpentine might be the most fun I’ve ever had playing with LEGO content, which is an incredibly high bar to clear!” said Chittock. “I am so excited for NINJAGO fans to experience this story, meet new characters, and see each page of Will Morris’s epic art.”

You’ll be able to get your hands on LEGO NINJAGO: Strike of the Serpentine from February 4, 2026 in comic book stores, while it will arrive in wider bookstores and through digital platforms on February 17. LEGO NINJAGO: Shatterspin’s graphic novel, which collects together Issues 1 and 2 of the series and wraps up the story with three new chapters, debuts in June 2025.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
