LEGO NINJAGO Shatterspin #3 cover and plot revealed

Though the first issue of the LEGO NINJAGO Shatterspin comic series has yet to be released, details and the cover of the third have been revealed.

Following Garmadon in 2022, it was previously announced that another LEGO NINJAGO comic series would be released in 2024, tying into the second season of LEGO NINJAGO Dragons Rising.

The first issue is coming on May 22 and the second is confirmed for June 26 and now we know that the third arrives on July 24. Bleeding Cool has revealed the cover for the third issue too, confirming that Garmadon is going to interact with one of the wolf masks from the new season. The provided description also states that Garmadon is trying to learn Shatterspin.

We’re about to discuss spoilers for the second season of LEGO NINJAGO Dragons Rising.

In LEGO NINJAGO Dragons Rising Season 2, it is confirmed that the wolf masks can remove every shred of good from the wearer and given what we know becomes of Garmadon following the prequel story in the Shatterspin comic series, his evil future may not be entirely due to the Great Devourer.

Shatterspin is a technique introduced in the second season of Dragons Rising that can only be used by an Elemental Master wearing a wolf mask. It is a more developed version of Spinjitzu that prioritises strength and has only been used by the seasons’ villains so far.

The current release schedule suggests that we can expect the fourth and fifth issues near the end of August and September respectively, though this has yet to be officially confirmed.
