LEGO One Piece Baratie Restaurant design an ‘unusual mix’ of builds
The LEGO One Piece designer behind 75640 The Baratie Floating Restaurant has revealed some of the unique challenges behind the location.
A full raft of LEGO One Piece sets were officially revealed this week, with seven models launching online and in stores on August 1, 2025. The line-up of builds spin out of the live-action Netflix TV series, which will be returning to the streaming service later this year with a second season of episodes.
The largest of the LEGO One Piece sets in the upcoming first wave is 75640 The Baratie Floating Restaurant, a 3,402-piece model that will arrive with 18+ branding and in a black box. The model appears to recreate the location from the show in plenty of detail, although the development of the set wasn’t without some unique design challenges.

In an interview with LEGO.com, 75640 The Baratie Floating Restaurant’s designer talked about how the important location came to be and what fans of the show can expect from the LEGO One Piece model.
“It is an unusual mix of a building and a ship,” said Isaac Snyder, “so, getting the overall shape for the exterior was a challenge, particularly having a smooth integration of the iconic fish head bar. After capturing the facade, I used that to determine the size and layout of the interior and work on creating an efficient structure to hold everything together.”

A big fan of the live-action Netflix show, Isaac notes that he knew right away that the Baratie would make for a perfect LEGO One Piece set and be the ideal build to introduce plenty of minifigures.
“It’s a very memorable location!,” exclaimed Isaac. “You get a great selection of characters, including some that don’t appear in other sets or have new decorations here. And the Baratie makes a great location for them all to interact with each other at, while also being an impressive display piece.”
With 10 minifigures included in 75640 The Baratie Floating Restaurant, most fan’s favourite faces should be accounted for in the LEGO One Piece set.

“Luffy is there, wearing his iconic straw hat,” explained Isaac, “Nami appears in her usual attire. Usopp features a new element for his bandana and hair. Zoro is wearing a black bandana, ready to fight Mihawk. Vice Admiral Garp wears his spotless white suit and red epaulettes.”
“Sanji is ready for work in the kitchen with a dark blue apron. Zeff has his memorable forked beard and pegleg. Helmeppo has a double-sided head for some different expression options. Koby has his purple glasses and cadet uniform. And Mihawk includes a new sword element to portray his epic weapon, Yoru.”
75640 The Baratie Floating Restaurant will be setting sail on August 1, 2025, priced at £269.99 / $329.99 / €299.99, with all seven LEGO One Piece models available to pre-order right now.
