LEGO One Piece’s buildable fruit is almost too convincing
7 /10

Summary

Of the many new LEGO One Piece sets for 2026, 75647 Gum-Gum Fruit didn't exactly stand out – but it's much better than it appears at first glance, and perhaps almost too convincing.

What We Liked

  • An ideal display for the One Piece fan with little room
  • Easy access to the two best Luffy minifigures
  • Sturdy construction, despite appearances

What Could Be Better

  • Struggles to justify the price, even with numerous copies of an exclusive piece
  • Box base is too plain on its own

A giant Gum-Gum Fruit display, even with a specialised element in spades, isn't necessarily the most enticing concept for LEGO One Piece – at least on paper. In hand, 75647 Gum-Gum Fruit leaves an entirely different impression.

Make no mistake; 75647 Gum-Gum Fruit is not an essential LEGO One Piece set for the fan who has been collecting them all since last year. You’ll have enough LEGO One Piece in your home already that the two repeated minifigures won’t be enough to justify a purchase.

However, those with few to no LEGO One Piece sets in their collection, or with only a little room to display their love of the franchise, should absolutely keep an eye on this release. 75647 Gum-Gum Fruit is a pleasing encapsulation of One Piece’s most iconic emblems in a single set that is easy to display and won’t take up much room. It’s practically ideal for a desk in an office, a small shelf, or even between appliances in your kitchen.

The build of the Gum-Gum Fruit is a masterclass in achieving rounded shapes with LEGO pieces. What could be near-perfectly smooth is purposefully interrupted with an exclusive piece to represent the swirled patterns on this particular Devil Fruit, helping to convey the iconic look of the power-granting food. When combined with the swirled stem, you’d be forgiven for thinking it was the real Gum-Gum Fruit from a distance.

Rather than biting into the fruit, though, you can open it up and reveal a small scene from Luffy’s origins with a tiny Gum-Gum Fruit. This scene is nearly the same as that of Windmill Village Hut, but without the Shanks minifigure. There’s enough space inside for the scene to be recognisable, but don’t expect to fit more than two minifigures.

The fruit model is displayed on a base resembling a wooden crate. It’s a suitable finale to the centrepiece, but isn’t the star of the show by any means. That’s not to say that there are no surprises to be found, though.

There are two minifigures in 75647 Gum-Gum Fruit, depicting Luffy in his origins and as the Straw Hat pirate he was meant to be. Aside from a fresh face print on young Luffy, neither of these minifigures are new, but they are rare. Long-armed Luffy is especially desirable for the theme’s many playsets, otherwise featured only in a retiring model that is now sold out.

Either minifigure can be displayed above the printed label for 75647 Gum-Gum Fruit, rounding out the sculpture.

With a decently strong minifigure selection, excellent display value and solid references, it looks to be a home run for 75647 Gum-Gum Fruit. Unfortunately, the price tag isn’t quite justified. At £59.99 / $69.99 / €69.99 for 482 pieces, the display isn’t big enough to please for the price. If you only have room for one LEGO Piece set and need a sufficient display, 75647 Gum-Gum Fruit isn’t a bad pick, but the necessary funds can go much further elsewhere in the theme.

And yet... this is the only major downside in 75647 Gum-Gum Fruit. Otherwise, this is a stellar display model that is perfect for a specific kind of LEGO One Piece fan. Strongly consider this model if you need something small and One Piece-themed for that space in your home. Otherwise, look towards the rest of the theme’s new models.

Our Verdict

LEGO One Piece 75647 Gum-Gum Fruit is better than it seems, with strong minifigures and a new piece, but your money can ultimately go further elsewhere in the theme.
