LEGO partners with Comic Relief to build change in 2024

The LEGO Group has partnered with Comic Relief once again for Red Nose Day 2024, offering activities and a contest to win £2000 for your school.

Following previous partnerships in 2022 and 2023, Red Nose Day 2024 will see the LEGO Group get involved in the charitable event again, offering an array of activities for teachers to use in lessons based on real situations.

The website for Comic Relief has more information on what the LEGO Group is providing for Red Nose Day this year and there are several videos to watch, including the one shared below. The aim this year is to focus on one of the bigger issues from droughts to sustainable building and imagine something to help fix the issue, effectively building the change.

To help with this goal, teachers can use the many free activities on the Comic Relief website to inspire students with multiple specific issues covered in the lesson plan.

As well as this, a competition is being held where students are encouraged to share their ideas on how to build the change and win £2000 for their school to help fund a green initiative. The competition is open now for UK students between five and 12 and closes at the end of the day on May 8. You can find out more by reading the terms and conditions on the Comic Relief website.

The LEGO Group’s efforts towards sustainability and reducing their carbon footprint include the introduction of paper bags in LEGO sets and the initiative has recently reached the LEGO House in Billund.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
