LEGO rumoured to be shaking up its advent calendar assortment for 2025
The LEGO Group is rumoured to be shaking up its advent calendar assortment for the second year in a row in 2025, calling time on one of the current cohort.
At the moment, you’ve got six different ways to count down to Christmas with LEGO, across Star Wars, Marvel, Disney, Harry Potter, City and Friends advent calendars, but that might change in 2025. Instagram user lego_minecraft_goat reports in their Instagram story that there will be no LEGO Marvel advent calendar next year.
That comes after LEGO Disney was only introduced this year, so perhaps it was always the plan for Marvel to take its place. It could also leave a gap in the line-up for a new contender from another theme. A LEGO Fortnite advent calendar could go down well, even if it’s only a fledgling theme, or perhaps a LEGO Technic one that could appeal to older builders.
Out of all of them, 76293 Spider-Man Advent Calendar did leave us feeling underwhelmed, particularly with the lack of minifigures and Christmas prints throughout. While the mini-builds are fine in themselves, there wasn’t a lot to write home about, as we touched on in our in-depth review. If there’s one LEGO advent calendar we could stand to lose, it’s likely LEGO Marvel.
Of course, this news is far from confirmed. We’re over a year away from 2025’s Christmas and therefore several months away from knowing what advent calendars will be on offer in 2025. Until then, take this rumour, as all others, with a pinch of salt.

love a games of thrones one for adults, plenty of mini figures for that one,or a Lego icon calendar,so exclusive figures from, potter, star wars, city marvel etc
but I love Lego city. I don’t want a mixed one I’m only 9 years old and I really like the city ine
That would be a shame, especially for the kids for whom this might be a first(ish) superhero battle-pack. For my part, I thought they missed a trick not using the Spidey And His Amazing Friends characters, which has a broader range of villains and is just a little more unabashedly fun than the standard Spider-Man line. I’ve enjoyed getting the Xmas sweaters, if nothing else, but City has all the rest beat this year on that score. Miles is literally wearing his own face.
On his jumper.
I’m suprised we haven’t had a minecraft or ninjago one.
