LEGO sets are the second-most requested item from Santa
Royal Mail has released the list of gifts that children are requesting from Santa Claus, with LEGO sets coming in second.
Each year, Royal Mail collates the letters to Father Christmas that the UK’s postal service receives, and reveals the top 10 most requested gifts. This year, LEGO sets have come in at second place, after video game consoles, the Independent reports.
Game consoles covers a wide range of devices, including Microsoft’s Xbox and Sony’s PlayStation, but equally the LEGO category covers any set or box of bricks that a child – or AFOL – might have asked for.
Writing to Santa is a free service provided by Royal Mail.
Here is the list in full:
- Games Console
- LEGO
- Bike
- Books
- Scooter
- Animal Alley Giant Unicorn
- Mobile phone
- Baby doll
- Clothes
- L.O.L Dolls
“Royal Mail plays a special part at Christmas,” Axelle Galera, of Royal Mail, told the website. “We are proud that for over 50 years Santa has allowed us to help manage the thousands and thousands of special letters he receives from boys and girls across the UK.
“His special team of elves at Royal Mail enjoy taking a peek at what children are asking for, and helping Santa reply to these special letters.”
