LEGO shares fresh takes on Up-Scaled Minifigure designs
More LEGO Up-Scaled Minifigure designs have popped up online, with three alternate takes on the giant-sized character models.
The LEGO Group seems to have found some success with its limited range of Up-Scaled Minifigure sets to date, taking the humble minifigure and expanding it to a more impressive size. The most recent example of this approach was 40767 Up-Scaled Baby Astronaut, a 250-piece GWP that was revealed as a GWP back in May, but was quickly out of stock.
Fans of such sets can now take a look at three alternate designs for Up-Scaled Minifigures that have been shared on the official LEGO Builds Instagram account. A trio of LEGO City characters have been given the supersized treatment, although it’s worth noting that they are rebuilds and not actual upcoming physical releases.

First up is the firefighter minifigure from 60414 Fire Station with Fire Truck, an 823-piece set that was released in 2024. As with 40649 Up-Scaled LEGO Minifigure, this new take enlarges all of the character’s proportions and includes a tiny minifigure hidden under its headgear.

Also posted were images of an up-scaled construction worker, loosely based on one of the minifigures included with this year’s 60466 Bulldozer. As in the LEGO City set, the character boasts a bright red safety helmet, but this time it’s one that contains its own standard-sized minifigure surprise within.

Finally, there’s an up-scaled farmer minifigure, straight out of this year’s 60461 Tractor with Trailer. Once again, the character has been blown up to an epic size, gaining 40649 Up-Scaled LEGO Minifigure’s blue cap, the perfect accessory to hide a minifigure-scale farmyard scene inside.

While these designs are certainly a novelty, only one new Up-Scaled Minifigure set is currently rumoured to be arriving in 2025. 40820 Up-Scaled Santa Minifigure is said to be launching at some point this year, although there’s been no official confirmation of the model so far.
