LEGO Speed Champions 2026 sets rumoured to be getting price increase

A small price increase may be on the way for the potential January 2026 wave of LEGO Speed Champions sets, if the latest rumours prove to be true.

The LEGO Speed Champions theme has raced off to a championship start in 2025, with multiple releases tied to Formula 1 and a 2 Fast and 2 Furious model that struggles to remain in stock for long.

That winning streak looks set to continue in 2026, with a first wave of at least five builds already rumoured to be speeding into view in January. Although initial details on those LEGO Speed Champions models was a little light, the usually-reliable lego_minecraft_goat has chimed in with an Instagram Story containing additional information, including a potential price hike.

For starters, three of the rumoured LEGO Speed Champions sets may be getting name changes, with next year’s line-up now said to include 77253 Bugatti Vision GT Hyper Sports Car, 77254 Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale Sports Car and the highly-anticipated 77256 Time Machine from Back to the Future.

Whether those rumoured names will stick is anyone’s guess at this stage, but what’s also potentially on the horizon is a possible price increase for all of the 2026 LEGO Speed Champions releases.

The latest rumour goes on to state that the January wave of models could jump from $26.99 each in the US to $27.99, a small rise but one that may prove frustrating to long-time fans of the theme.

Remember to take details of rumoured LEGO sets with a pinch of salt until official details – including confirmation of prices – are forthcoming.
