LEGO Speed Champions 77252 APXGP Team Race Car revealed
A third LEGO Speed Champions 2026 set has been revealed, this time drawing inspiration from the F1 movie and featuring two minifigures.
It’s not just Back to the Future and Disney Pixar’s Cars coming to LEGO Speed Champions next year; a third film-inspired car has been confirmed for January 1, 2026. 77252 APXGP Team Race Car is inspired by the F1 movie, released earlier this year, and stands out from the rest of this year’s Formula 1 cars by launching early next year
After a year of LEGO Formula 1 cars in Speed Champions, the movie-inspired nature of this model helps differentiate it from the 2025 range, and its black and gold colour scheme furthers those efforts.
While the build itself seems familiar, there’s another important aspect of this car creation to consider. While the LEGO Formula 1 cars from earlier this year included generic drivers, 77252 APXGP Team Race Car features both Sonny Hayes and Joshua Pearce, marking a rare instance of two minifigures in a single-car Speed Champions set.
The duo features exclusive printed helmets taken straight from the film, new face and torso prints, and official imagery shows that there’s an alternate face print for the minifigures without their sunglasses. This is Brad Pitt and Damson Idris’ first LEGO minifigures, making them even more appealing.
You can expect to find 77252 APXGP Team Race Car on shelves from January 1, 2026, for £22.99 / $27.99 / €27.99. That’s the same price as both 77255 Lightning McQueen and 77256 Time Machine from Back to the Future, giving Speed Champions a great start to 2026.
