LEGO Star Trek and Pirates of the Caribbean sets rumoured for 2025
Star Trek and Pirates of the Caribbean are rumoured to be joining the LEGO Icons line-up in 2025, marking the debut of one licence and the return of another.
Instagram user (and typically reliable source) a.clay.brick reports that two more intellectual properties will form part of the LEGO Icons 2025 range, joining a rumoured list that already includes the likes of The Lord of the Rings, Transformers, The Simpsons and How to Train Your Dragon. The first of those is Star Trek, which has never appeared in LEGO before.
There’s no word yet on what that LEGO Star Trek set – which is said to be coming in the second half of the year – will be specifically, but there’s really only one candidate that it could be: the USS Enterprise. It’s the most iconic symbol associated with the series and arguably the default choice for an inaugural LEGO Star Trek set. And while this is just a rumour for now, it’s worth noting that Bluebrixx recently relinquished the Star Trek construction toy licence, so the door is open for the LEGO Group to take it.

LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean, meanwhile, is said to be sailing back on to shelves for the first time since 2017 with a new rendition of the Black Pearl. The previous version of the series’ best-known ship debuted all the way back in 2011 and now commands hefty sums on the aftermarket, so a new Black Pearl would likely be very welcome – especially with one eye on the reception to 10335 The Endurance.
The question then, of course, is whether a new LEGO Black Pearl would be minifigure scale (as per the previous playset) or microscale like the Endurance. Given the potential for new and interesting minifigures, we know which colours we’ll be pinning to the mast in 2025 – but we’ll have to wait and see whether Pirates of the Caribbean really does return to shelves, especially as the next movie in the franchise looks unlikely to be arriving in cinemas next year.
