LEGO Star Wars 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina is now less than £250
John Lewis is offering a very tempting discount on the latest LEGO Star Wars Master Builder Series set, bringing 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina down to less than £250.
The LEGO Group’s location-based answer to the Ultimate Collector Series kicked off in 2018 with 75222 Betrayal at Cloud City, before taking another trip to Tatooine in 2020’s 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina. At 3,187 pieces and with more than 20 characters in the box, it’s the most ambitious take on the wretched hive of scum and villainy to date.
At full whack, it’s also fairly expensive. £309.99 might be good value for everything you get in return, but that doesn’t make paying that amount of money any easier – especially when there are so many cool LEGO sets vying for your budget, with more and more landing every month. For less than £250, though, it’s hard to say no to everything that 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina has to offer.
That’s really what makes John Lewis’s current price for the MBS set so appealing, because at 20% off, the original trilogy model comes down to just £247.99. Still a fair chunk of change, to be sure, but one that’s a little easier to part with – particularly with one eye on exclusive characters like Ponda Baba, Dr. Cornelius Evazan and Garindan.
Chances are those obscure Star Wars curios will never be released again (especially the likes of Labria, Kabe and Momaw Nadon), so as soon as 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina retires, it’s likely to be a goldmine on the aftermarket. Whether you’re grabbing a first copy or a second, to embellish your Tatooine display or simply to invest – no judgement here – this is a very good price to do it at.

- I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
