LEGO Star Wars 75337 AT-TE Walker delayed in the US

The LEGO Group has delayed the planned launch of LEGO Star Wars 75337 AT-TE Walker in the US, citing ‘some delivery challenges’.

The landing page for the highly-anticipated set – which is the first to feature a Phase 2 Commander Cody minifigure – changed from ‘Coming soon on August 1’ to simply ‘Coming soon’ in the US last week, suggesting that it may have been delayed from its initial launch date.

In a statement shared on the LEGO Ambassador Network, the LEGO Group has now confirmed that 75337 AT-TE Walker will not debut in North America on August 1 alongside the rest of the summer wave, owing to ‘some delivery challenges’. At the moment, expectations are that the set will be delayed ‘by a few weeks’.

A more precise date has not been shared at the time of writing, but the LEGO Group says it will update the set’s landing page at LEGO.com as soon as it has a firm release date for the Revenge of the Sith walker.

That’s bad news for stateside fans eager to get their hands on Commander Cody and the rest of the set’s Clone Troopers and Battle Droids, but take solace: 75337 AT-TE Walker will arrive eventually, and in the meantime there are still plenty of other sets to pick up in August, including 75336 Inquisitor Transport Scythe and 75333 Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Jedi Starfighter.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then. You can follow me on Twitter at @brfa_chris.

If I order from your affiliate link as an American on August 1st, (Since it takes me to a site with a server host in the EU I believe) do you think I would still be able to order the set?
