LEGO Star Wars $1,000 Death Star enters back order for the first time
Despite its price and the community’s initial reactions, LEGO Star Wars 75419 Death Star is officially on back order on the online store.
While early reactions and later reviews of the set have been mixed, partially due to the nearly $1,000 price tag, 75419 Death Star has defied expectations and entered back order on the US and Canadian official online stores.
The 9,023-piece creation launched on October 1 for LEGO Insiders or on October 4 for everyone with an exclusive gift-with-purchase to expand the hangar bay. Its price tag of £899.99 / $999.99 / €999.99 seemingly hasn’t dissuaded LEGO Star Wars fans from ordering copies of the biggest set in the theme so far. You’ll now need to wait until October 23 at the latest to see copies of the model ship out.

There’s no way to know precisely how much stock of 75419 Death Star is available for the US and Canada, but back order status usually signals that a set has been popular. It will be interesting to follow this story and see how long the set stays on back order for, and whether this level of interest persists past launch.
75419 Death Star is available now for £899.99 / $999.99 / €999.99. Early adopters can still score the free 40771 TIE Fighter with Imperial Hangar Rack exclusively with this set until the end of the day, or while stocks last. Check out our full visual tour of the set here.
