Retiring LEGO Star Wars Mos Eisley Cantina sells out in select regions

One of the biggest LEGO Star Wars sets retiring in 2024 is out of stock at LEGO.com in the UK and Europe, sending alarm bells ringing for other regions.

75290 Mos Eisley Cantina is on its way out after four years in production, taking its laundry list of exclusive minifigures with it, so time is rapidly running out to snap up Ponda Baba, Dr. Evazan, Garindan and the rest of the gang. And you might be out of time already in the UK and Europe, as the 3,187-piece set is currently listed as ‘temporarily out of stock’ – which means it’s unavailable to order at all.

That label usually means a set will come back in stock at some point (compared to ‘Sold Out’, which typically means it’s gone for good), but things become a bit more fraught around retiring products. If 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina does return to LEGO.com in the UK and Europe, it might only be for a brief period. It’s also out of stock at John Lewis, the sole UK third-party retailer of the Master Builder Series set.

If you’re in the US, you can sleep a little easier at night knowing that 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina is still available to order with immediate delivery, but there’s no telling how long that will be the case. If you want to guarantee getting your hands on it for retail price (before it inevitably jumps in price on the aftermarket post-retirement), this week is probably the time to act.

Multiple new gifts-with-purchase should be kicking off at LEGO.com tomorrow as new sets drop for October, so the timing could be right to snag 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina before it disappears for good. Alternatively, you could hold out for potential double points events later in October or even for Black Friday, but that does mean rolling the dice on it staying in stock until then.
