The months of silence since any announcement regarding the future of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga have passed, causing some fans to worry that the game may not be finished in time for Spring 2021, as some marketing has suggested. Now, the developers of the upcoming title have confirmed a delay that we all knew was coming.

TT Games took to Twitter to announce the news in a statement, mentioning that the team continue to work hard on the LEGO game, but simply need more time to complete it.

While this news may come as disappointing for many, it was an inevitable result of the lack of communication from both Warner Bros. and TT Games to fans, as only a few months remained in the original launch window, which may not seem like enough time to fully promote and market the highly-anticipated game before launch.

In the statement, TT Games promises to share updated launch timing as soon as possible but gave no time frame for either the announcement or a potential release window. For now, we’ll have to keep waiting for any more news on LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

We’ll keep you updated if we find any announcements that reveal when we can expect to be playing through a galaxy far, far away but whilst you wait, why not read up on five features we can’t wait to explore.
