With LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga available soon, a number of retailers have revealed a few new ways for players to pre-order the upcoming game. The TT Games title is currently available in both physical and digital Standard and Deluxe Editions, with various pre-order incentives up for grabs too.
Players who have already opted to pre-order a digital version of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga would have done so via their console’s online store. However, Amazon and Smyths Toys in the UK, along with GameStop in the US, are now selling three different Xbox digital download codes alongside their physical copies.
As well as listings for the digital Standard and Deluxe Editions of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, the retailers also have the Character Collection Edition season pass available as a separate purchase. This means that Xbox players who buy the physical or digital Standard Edition and then want to add the seven DLC character packs at a later date can do so.
However, this would be a much more expensive option than simply purchasing the digital download code for the Deluxe Edition of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, which also includes the additional DLC. The digital Standard Edition costs £49.99 / $59.99 and the digital Character Collection Edition is £11.99 (there’s no listing for the US version of that code so far). That’s a total of £61.98 for both codes, compared to £59.99 for the Deluxe Edition download code.
Whichever version players decide to purchase, they’ll be sent an email with a code for their digital copy of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga at a later date and the game will then be available to download and play from launch day. The digital download codes are currently only available for Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X.
It’s also worth noting that none of the Xbox digital download codes include any pre-order incentive available with some physical versions of the game, such as the Amazon and Walmart Classic Character Pack DLC. The digital Character Collection Edition also requires either a physical or digital copy of the game.
