LEGO stock shortages continue in the run-up to Xmas

The LEGO Group’s inventory issues are persisting beyond Black Friday and into the holiday season, as yet another flagship set has sold out online.

71043 Hogwarts Castle joins a growing list of LEGO sets currently unavailable to order in the UK and Europe, including 75192 Millennium Falcon, 10276 Colosseum, 10294 Titanic, 75978 Diagon Alley, 21330 Home Alone, 76178 Daily Bugle and 10293 Santa’s Visit.

It means Brick Fanatics’ Top 20 LEGO Sets List – which tracks the very best sets available to buy at LEGO.com – has had to fall back on some older (but still great!) sets to fill the void. Several of those are also on back order, including some that won’t ship until January.

All that said, there are a few heavy hitters still in stock, including 75313 AT-AT, 71040 The Disney Castle and 71741 NINJAGO City Gardens – so if you’re looking to treat yourself or someone else for Xmas, there are options available to you.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
