LEGO Store Amsterdam opening date confirmed

The opening date for the newest flagship LEGO Store in Kalverstraat, Amsterdam has been confirmed.

In what’s shaping up to be a busy month for brand store openings, the second Dutch LEGO Store will open on November 29, reports Brickset. That comes hot on the heels of the Netherlands’ first store, which opened in Utrecht in October.

On opening day, VIP customers at the Amsterdam store will receive a “limited edition” LEGO windmill with purchases over €75. If you don’t want to spend big, though, you can get your hands on an orange “I love LEGO Store Amsterdam” tile just for showing up.

The following week, shoppers will be able to take advantage of even more opening offers. From December 3-5, a purchase of €75 will net you a free “I love AMS” BrickHeadz model, while shoppers spending €125 will also qualify for a 40145 LEGO Brand Retail Store freebie.

Brickset also reports that a LEGO Store is due to open in Stockholm in the near future, offering even more brick shopping opportunities on the continent. In the UK, next week sees the opening of the Birmingham Bullring and Grand Central LEGO Store.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
