LEGO Store Battersea celebrating its first anniversary with giveaway and more

The LEGO store at the refurbished Battersea Power Station is celebrating its first anniversary soon with a giveaway, meet and greet and more.

The official webpage for the LEGO Store Battersea has revealed the full details for the upcoming event, including that it takes place on May 25 from 10am to 8pm and May 26 from 12pm to 8pm.

Those able to attend either day of the event next weekend can look forward to meeting a life-sized LEGO character, a treasure hunt around the store, a LEGO birthday cake that you can help decorate as well as LEGO face painting on May 25.

For May 26 specifically, you can build a LEGO cake model and take it home for free while stocks last between 1pm and 3pm. Otherwise, the first 100 people in-store on each day will receive a LEGO party bag. Whether the party bag is a polybag or a bag filled with LEGO items has not been confirmed, though LEGO stores have been known to offer the latter on anniversaries.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
