LEGO prepares ‘exclusive surprise’ ahead of British Grand Prix

The LEGO Store Battersea Power Station in London is preparing a special Formula 1-themed event for the British Grand Prix.

For those who can’t make it to Silverstone for the British Grand Prix on July 6, the LEGO Group is planning a special livestream at London’s Battersea Power Station in the UK, along with a range of hands-on, family-friendly activities and a life-sized LEGO McLaren Formula 1 car on display. Some of the activities include a Make & Take station, reaction time challenges (just like the drivers do), and other experiences geared towards motorsports fans.

With LEGO Store Battersea Power Station on the ground floor, it’s also a good opportunity to pick up any Formula 1 LEGO sets that you’ve been wanting to add to your collection.

The announcement from Battersea Power Station also promises ‘an exclusive surprise in store’ but doesn’t offer many clues as to what it might be. That could be anything from a celebrity guest, giveaways, or an announcement of new sets – but we’ll have to wait until July 6 to know for sure.

There’s no need to RSVP for the event, so visitors are encouraged to simply turn up on the day to watch the British Grand Prix at Silverstone with fellow LEGO fans.

I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.
