LEGO Store exclusive sets for June 2023 revealed

A wave of four small sets releasing on June 1 exclusively in LEGO stores and the online LEGO shop has shown up on LEGO.com.

40641 Birthday Cake

Price: £13.49 / $14.99 / €14.99 Pieces: 211 Release date: June 1, 2023

This mini-model of a cake can be opened up to reveal a birthday-themed room or laid out to be a ramp for the two included minifigures to ride down on a sled. 

This set, similar to 40382 Birthday Set, seems to be intended to be purchased as a cheap gift for any LEGO fan’s birthday. It’s possible that 40382 Birthday Set could retire from physical stores earlier than expected to make room for this new birthday-themed set.

40643 Jade Rabbit

Price: £17.99 / $19.99 / €19.99 Pieces: 211 Release date: June 1, 2023

Designed as a celebration of the traditional Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival (also known as the Mooncake Festival or Moon Festival), this model features a snow skin moon cake that the titular Jade Rabbit sits on while making divine medicine. The cake can open up to reveal two small LEGO rabbits inside.

40647 Lotus Flowers

Price: £10.99 / $12.99 / €12.99 Pieces: 220 Release date: June 1, 2023

The newest set in the LEGO botanical collection is here in the form of pink and white lotus flowers. This set is similar to 40460 Roses or 40524 Sunflowers and is the fifth flower set at this scale. Interestingly, it’s returning to the same style of box art as the older sets, rather than the black 18+ box of 40646 Daffodils.

40650 Land Rover Classic Defender

Price: £13.49 / $14.99 / €14.99 Pieces: 150 Release date: June 1, 2023

The final set is a scaled-down Land Rover Classic Defender, which is meant to tie in with the larger Icons set 10317 Land Rover Classic Defender 90. Despite its small scale, the set still fits the single included minifigure. It’s definitely interesting to see a licensed LEGO car in the Creator theme rather than Speed Champions.
