LEGO Icons 40891 Stranger Things: WSQK Radio Station review

Day-one buyers of LEGO Icons 11370 Stranger Things: The Creel House will also receive an excellent gift-with-purchase that rounds out the main cast of Season 5.

Available from January 1, 2026 with all orders of 11370 Stranger Things: The Creel House is 40891 Stranger Things: WSQK Radio Station, a 234-piece vignette that includes exclusive Jim Hopper and Joyce Byers minifigures.

This review contains very, very mild spoilers for Season 5 Volume I of Stranger Things.

If we’re not getting any smaller and more affordable LEGO Stranger Things sets – and the licence’s position under the Icons banner suggests we won’t – then 40891 Stranger Things: WSQK Radio Station is an excellent companion piece to the bigger set, not only for its sizeable build but also its minifigure selection.

Hopper and Joyce are arguably the two most prominent Stranger Things characters not included in The Creel House, and while we’ve had minifigures of them before in 75810 The Upside Down, these versions are based on their appearance in Season 5 of the Netflix series.

That means a big, bushy beard for Hopper (brand new in dark tan) and a red shirt for Joyce. Both compare pretty favourably to the source material even if they’re both mostly assembled from existing pieces: Joyce reuses Hermione Granger’s hair and Harry Potter’s torso, while Hopper has Lex Luthor’s face (not that you really see it under the beard) and a LEGO City torso from 2025.

The model itself is a nice slice of a secondary location in Season 5 Volume I, even if we don’t see too much of the actual sofa area in the show, and is crammed with stickered and printed details to bring it to life. It’s a breezy build but for those slight sticker-related interruptions, and the floor tile pattern especially will keep you interested all the way through.

And while Hopper doesn’t actually appear at WSQK (at least in the episodes we’ve seen so far), the only way to get your hands on this set through official channels is by purchasing 11370 Stranger Things: The Creel House – so you can easily swap in Robin, Will and company from the main set.
