Attendees at this year’s recent gamescom show were able to pick up a number of brick-built goodies, including a free LEGO Super Mario Yoshi model.
Gamescom 2024 may now have come and gone, but it certainly left an impression when it came to LEGO reveals. As well as the announcement of new LEGO Super Mario and Animal Crossing sets for 2025, those in attendance were also able to pick up a few brick-built freebies.
On offer at this year’s gamescom were a miniature gaming controller from the LEGO Store Cologne, plus a free LEGO Fortnite Cuddle Team Leader minifigure. The latter represented the first chance for fans to get their hands on a physical LEGO Fortnite character, ahead of a first wave of four sets arriving on October 1.

In addition, it’s now been revealed that yet another brick-built freebie was also available at gamescom 2024 in the shape of 6527192 Yoshi. The 31-piece make and take model was given away to those in attendance at the show and has yet to pop up on the secondary market.
The LEGO Super Mario build looks to be identical to the version of Yoshi that appears in both 71406 Yoshi’s Gift House and 71439 Adventures with Interactive LEGO Mario. The character features a white round half element at the front of the character’s body, as opposed to the two quarter pieces used to construct Yoshi in

While 6527192 Yoshi is unlikely to be an expensive purchase for those hoping to add the promotional set to their collection, the character could certainly come in handy as an extra driver to use with the upcoming LEGO Super Mario: Mario Kart models due for release next year.
