LEGO teases another Transformer set is on its way

In a quick teaser shared on Instagram, the LEGO Group is hinting that another LEGO Transformers set could be on its way soon.

As it stands at the moment, there’s only one LEGO Transformers set available to buy right now: LEGO Icons 10302 Optimus Prime. However, judging from a quick video shared to the LEGO Group’s Instagram, that could be about to change.

The video shows the brick-built Optimus Prime himself, ‘calling all Autobots,’ followed by the question: ‘Who will answer the call?’ This strongly suggests another Transformer, likely another Autobot, is about to receive the LEGO treatment.

Teasers like this usually come just ahead of official LEGO reveals, so we can likely expect a reveal of just who this is very soon. With over 200,000 views and 10,000 likes within the first hour of posting, it’s safe to say that the hype around this upcoming reveal is very real.

It’s been two years since 10302 Optimus Prime landed on shelves – long enough to have fans clamouring for another LEGO Transformers set. Here’s hoping that whichever character it depicts is built to scale with 10302 Optimus Prime for the best play and display possibilities.

I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.

Did they not announce it was Bumblebee months ago?

I can only think it’ll be Bumblebee. It makes the most sense as he’s the most well known autobot after Optimus.
