LEGO Technic‘s massive Formula 1 model is available now at a massive discount just before the latest Formula 1 race car set launches.

Amazon UK has slashed the price of the £169.99 42141 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car ahead of the upcoming release of a huge wave of LEGO Formula 1 sets, including two for LEGO Technic. Displaying 42141 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car next to the larger of the two sets could be the ideal display and Amazon has made it 26% less expensive at the time of writing.

The sale has discounted the £169.99 price to £125.90, saving you just over £44 on the build, which could be put towards one of the newer LEGO Formula 1 sets to display alongside it.

42141 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car features a V6 cylinder engine with moving pistons, steering, suspension and differential. It’s an accurate recreation of the real vehicle and was designed in clone collaboration with McLaren, down to the sponsors on the livery, though some of them have been removed since its release.

The huge LEGO Technic set can be yours for less now at Amazon in the UK and it’s not a bad time to pick it up and build the model before the biggest wave of LEGO Formula 1 sets launch and a new racing season starts.
