Limited-edition LEGO Transformers display cases launching today at Wicked Brick

Wicked Brick’s brand new LEGO display cases for 10302 Optimus Prime will go on sale later today, but you’ll need to be quick if you want one.

The LEGO display specialist is launching two limited-edition cases for the LEGO Group’s first-ever Transformers set, the Collector’s Edition and Lenticular Edition, of which only 250 and 750 units will be produced respectively. Both cases will go on sale at 7pm UK time today, July 13, and once they’re gone, they’re gone.

The two cases each offer a different custom background for displaying 10302 Optimus Prime, which rolled out of Billund last month and is available now at LEGO.com. The Collector’s Edition boasts a unique mirrored backdrop of the classic Transformers grid pattern, topped with a raised gloss finish, and features both a cut-out for the set’s display plaque and engraved numbering.

The Lenticular Edition’s base is much the same – only with a number out of 750 rather than 250 – but includes a completely different background inspired by The Transformers: The Movie, lining up with the LEGO set’s G1 aesthetics. Both cases will retail for £89.99 apiece, which includes the base, background and everything you need to keep your Optimus Prime dust-free and displayed at its best.

Remember, both of these LEGO display cases for 10302 Optimus Prime will go on sale at 7pm UK time on July 13, and no more will ever be produced once these limited, numbered runs sell out.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
