LEGO Ulysses Space probe sells out again

The relaunched LEGO Ulysses Space Probe promotion has once again sold out within minutes, disappointing LEGO fans in the process.

6373604 Ulysses Space Probe is a promotional LEGO item, inspired by the real-life probe of the same name. It first appeared in mid-2021 in the LEGO.com VIP Rewards Centre, originally intended as a companion to 10283 NASA Space Shuttle Discovery. LEGO VIP members could redeem points to add the set to their next LEGO.com order.

Unfortunately, fans wanting to acquire the set at the time struggled to do so. The site encountered technical issues (presumably as a result of so many people accessing it at once) with the set selling out very soon after it became available.

Now it seems history has repeated itself. While 6373604 Ulysses Space Probe relaunched in the VIP Rewards Center earlier today, it went out of stock again in a matter of minutes. Some LEGO fans have also reported technical issues while trying to access the site at this time.

6373604 Ulysses Space Probe isn’t necessarily a must-own set (although it’s a nice choice for LEGO and space fans), but its continued unavailability is certainly frustrating. Doubly so when its popularity is something the LEGO Group could presumably have anticipated. Still, if you haven’t been to acquire it, now might be the time to ask: do you want it on its own merits, or because it’s difficult to acquire?

There’s no telling when (or if) the probe will fly back into view, leaving the secondary market one of your best bets. However, with eBay prices starting at around £80 in the UK, you may literally find that a tough sell.

I was on in the US and was able to get mine (kept refreshing at 9:00) am) although within a minute of me getting mine it then showed as sold out.

Had spare points, was on at the exact time. As usual, tech difficulties meant the scalpers got in there.
For a multi billion organisation I think Lego could do better.

Really infuriating again from Lego. I missed out first time round so was excited to see it coming back. I logged in at 7:50 UK time. At 8:00 I refreshed the browser and up popped a message saying rewards being updated and there it appeared available. I clicked on redeem, clicked on continue then clicked on complete, only to be told that the item was unavailable. This was at 8:02. How the heck can it be gone that quickly? The most annoying aspect of this is that the set will start appearing on ebay again at ridiculous prices, but like last time I’m not going to feed anyone’s greed by purchasing it.

At 9:01am it didn’t show in the Reward Center, and at 9:03am it listed as “sold out.” I never saw it in stock

How was it possible for people who were waiting prior to 9 am ET release in the US to even have a chance when it was gone 4 hours prior??? (Since this post was posted 4 hrs prior to USA release per previous post) Makes it very UNFAIR to not allowed everyone equal chance. But until Lego ban those darn bots, which they have for 2+ years now for VIP exclusive items, I do hope other folks keep writing to Lego customer service about this & other experiences. Pretty sad Lego..pretty sad!!
