LEGO is getting unusually region-specific with its latest offers
Four gifts-with-purchase and a series of multi-buy discounts are currently available at LEGO.com… but only for shoppers in Germany.
Gifts-with-purchase at LEGO.com tend to be mirrored around the world, particularly when they’re available for the first time, such as May’s 40767 Up-Scaled Baby Astronaut. But every now and then, the LEGO Group brings back select GWPs for certain regions – typically smaller polybags or gifts that weren’t originally in heavy demand.
That’s exactly the pattern it’s following this week with three different GWPs at LEGO.com, but rather than bringing them back to a handful of markets, it looks like they’re only available in a single region: Germany. 30697 Nova’s Doghouse Build is free with Friends and Disney orders above €40; 30688 Tropical Toucan is free with Creator 3-in-1 and Botanicals orders above €40; and 40688 Trophy Award and 40689 Firework Celebrations are both free with all orders above €170.
It’s therefore possible to stack all four freebies in a single order if you’re clever about which sets you buy, as has long been the case with LEGO gifts-with-purchase. But the LEGO Group has gone even further for fans in Germany right now, offering a series of multibuy discounts on select sets alongside these gifts-with-purchase.
These multi-buy offers are all set-specific, and are summed up in the table below, but essentially you’ll receive a discount on a second set when buying the first. We’ve seen multibuy offers of a sort at LEGO.com before – you can save 10% on Technic and Speed Champions Formula 1 bundles in the UK and elsewhere in Europe right now, for example – but rarely if ever executed like this.

All of these multibuy discounts are available until June 21, or while stocks last (although given they’re all currently-available sets, it’s tough to see any of them selling out). The two small polybag GWPs are live through June 14 only, while 40688 Trophy Award and 40689 Firework Celebrations – which are bundled into a single gift-with-purchase offer – are available until June 18, or while stocks last.
There’s a lot on the table here for a €180 spend, so if you’re reading this from Germany you might find it a prudent time to work through some of your wishlist. That’s clearly what the LEGO Group is hoping will happen, anyway, given this unprecedented number of region-exclusive incentives. What will be interesting to see for the rest of us is whether similar multi-buy offers are rolled out worldwide after being tested here…
