LEGO VIP collectible coins available now in the UK and Europe
LEGO fans in the UK and Europe, your time has come: the VIP collectible coins have finally returned to the Rewards Centre.
You’ll likely have to act fast if you want them – at least based on how quickly they sold out when they first landed across the first half of 2021 – and you’ll need a serious stash of VIP points if you’re after a full collection. Each of the five coins originally required 1,150 points apiece to redeem, which means a complete set (along with the accompanying coin holder) will set you back a total of 6,900 points.
If you were lucky enough to snag any or all of the Pirates, Space, Castle, Town or gold coins the first time round, you won’t be able to double up today: for the time being, each of the coins is limited only to VIP members who haven’t previously claimed them. If you’re just missing one or two, this is the perfect opportunity to complete your collection.
The LEGO Group has promised to make the coins more widely available if supplies last longer than expected, but that seems an unlikely scenario all things considered. The full set of coins was fetching serious sums on eBay as recently as yesterday, and while their value will probably drop following the second run, the collectible tokens still appear to be in high demand.
LEGO fans in the US and Canada will be able to redeem the coins from 9am EST today, January 11. We’ll give you another reminder at the time.

- I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.

The pirate coin is there.
I submitted my orders for the full collection + plus display case on Tuesday 11/01/22. It shows on my account that they’re in the ‘warehouse’. I wonder why they’ve re-released the coins, could it be that more coin collections are to follow? I would like to see an Ideas, Technic, Batman, Marvel, Speed Champions coin collection like in the same way as the current offering or even collections devoted to each theme!!
