LEGO World Builder celebrates women of history in design project

LEGO World Builder is asking fans to help them celebrate Women’s History Month in a new design project, with a project fund on offer to the most interesting designs.

LEGO World Builder continues to set itself apart from the LEGO Group’s other platforms, now inviting artists to create banner art of remarkable women throughout history, with the top three designs receiving a cash prize.

The new design project appears to be the first in what may be a series of contest-adjacent events held by LEGO World Builder and Tongal. The current design project can be found on Tongal’s website. The page for the project suggests that these design projects may be a monthly occurrence.

Budding artists are asked to follow a set of guidelines when creating their artwork, which needs to include minifigure versions of extraordinary women from history, with examples from Cleopatra to Florence Nightingale given.

The images will be added to LEGO World Builder’s image library and may be shown on the LEGO Group’s social media channels when a world using the art is showcased. At least three images will be chosen as part of this design project, with a fund of $750 to be split amongst the chosen artists. Those wishing to take part will need to be quick though, as the design project is only open until the end of the month.

LEGO World Builder is certainly a new experience for the LEGO Group and fans alike, with it already leading to some exciting innovations, including a holiday special and a NINJAGO short.
