LEGOLAND Discovery Center Dallas expands gallery of LEGO classic art

LEGOLAND Discovery Center Dallas’ Master Builder Thad has added yet another classic piece of artwork to his brick-built gallery.

Showing exactly what you can do with a few thousand studs, Thad has already recreated classics like Va Gogh’s Starry Night (in a much larger size than 21333 Vincent van Gogh – The Starry Night) and Piet Mondrian’s more abstract Composition II in Red, Blue, and Yellow.

Now, the Master Builder has taken on a new challenge: The Girl with the Brick Earring, as seen in a TikTok video from @masterbuilder_alec.

A play on Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer’s A Girl with a Pearl Earring, the brick-built picture looks incredibly close to the original painting, especially from far away. The earring itself stands out in contrast to the mosaic’s otherwise dark background and colour scheme.

The sheer size of all the pieces of art is also impressive, standing almost as high as Thad himself in some cases. This looks like it puts them even larger LEGO Art 31203 World Map.

You can see the LEGO Art Gallery that Thad is so proud of for yourself by heading to LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Dallas/Fort Worth, with tickets starting from $19.99 per person. Other attractions include Miniland and being able to build and test LEGO Racers.
