LEGO’s Build to Give campaign returns in 2024

The LEGO Group’s annual Build to Give initiative returns in 2024, offering the chance for the LEGO community to play a part in donating LEGO sets to children in need.

Starting now on November 11, the LEGO Group’s Build to Give campaign encourages everyone to help share the gift of play and love of LEGO with children who need it the most. If you build a heart out of LEGO bricks and sharing it with the hashtag #BuildToGive on social media or on the LEGO Play app before December 31, the LEGO Group will donate a LEGO set to a child in need of play.

This holiday season, the initiative will focus on donating LEGO sets to children in hospitals, children’s homes, and vulnerable communities. The sets are distributed through the LEGO Group’s network of local charity partners worldwide, and the campaign has reached more than 9.1 million children since 2017.

Select LEGO Stores around the world will be hosting the annual Build to Give activity throughout November. Click here to find more information on whether your local store is taking part. Even if not, anyone in the world can share a photo of a brick-built heart to take part in the festive charitable campaign. If you’re stuck for inspiration, you can find some heart tutorials here.

I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.
