LEGO’s brick-built toilet returns in 10335 The Endurance
The LEGO Group is back once again with its latest brick-built porcelain throne, with a tiny toilet included in the upcoming 10335 The Endurance.
After a number of recent early image teases, the LEGO Group has finally revealed 10335 The Endurance. The 3,011-piece LEGO Icons set will launch on November 29 priced at £229.99 / $269.99 / €269.99 and all purchases between November 29 and December 2 also receive a free 40729 Shackleton’s Lifeboat GWP (while stocks last).
Now that we can pour over the official images of 10335 The Endurance, we can appreciate just how much is packed into the iconic vessel. From the 10 impressive cloth sails and multi-level deck to the chained bower anchor and rudder operated by the ship’s wheel, it’s clear that this set is a love letter to a bygone nautical era.

However, a closer look at the interior of 10335 The Endurance also reveals that the LEGO Group is up to its old tricks yet again. Following appearances in last year’s 10325 Alpine Lodge and 21344 The Orient Express Train, yet another brick-built toilet has been included in a LEGO set.
The familiar white bathroom appliance has become a regular feature in many LEGO models in recent years, which makes us think the company’s designers may well have a mandate for adding it into appropriate sets where possible.

This time around, it’s 10335 The Endurance that gains its own WC, which is located in a small room on the main deck towards the stern of the ship. The LEGO Icons set may not be minifigure-scale, but a handful of 1×1 elements is all that’s required to create a recognisable lavatory this time around.
We suspect this isn’t the last we’ll see of toilets in LEGO sets either, but at least its addition in 10335 The Endurance makes some kind of sense considering the long and hazardous journey the exploratory craft endured.
10335 The Endurance will be setting sail on November 29, priced at £229.99 / $269.99 / €269.99. Those who pick up the LEGO Icons vessel between November 29 and December 2 will also be eligible for a free 40729 Shackleton’s Lifeboat GWP.
