Marvel Studios reveals Fantastic Four release date and cast

Marvel Studios has officially announced The Fantastic Four, revealing both the release date and the core cast over on X.

Marvel Studios has taken to X to announce that The Fantastic Four will arrive in cinemas around the world on July 25, 2025 – almost exactly a year after this year’s summer release, Deadpool and Wolverine. This means there’s been another schedule reshuffle, with this originally being the release date for Thunderbolts. Variety reports that Thunderbolts will not take The Fantastic Four’s original slot on May 2, 2025.

What’s more, the studio has confirmed who will play the titular four superheroes, Mister Fantastic (aka Reed Richards), Invisible Woman (Susan Storm Richards), Human Torch (Jonathan Storm), and The Thing (Benjamin Green). Respectively, those roles will be played by The Mandalorian’s Pedro Pascal, The Crown’s Vanessa Kirby, Stranger Things’ Joseph Quinn, and The Bear’s Ebon Moss-Bachrach.

There’s no sign of a trailer to give us a first look at the film (and we shouldn’t expect one for several months yet for this 2025 release), but Marvel Studios has released some imagery depicting the four actors in their roles for the first time.

With LEGO Marvel tending to focus on cinematic properties (although not exclusively as evidenced by the comic-book-accurate designs in 76281 X-Men X-Jet), the arrival of the Fantastic Four into Marvel Studios’ live-action films line-up could mean that we’ll see some Fantastic Four sets coming our way. After all, the resurgence of X-Men sets in the LEGO Marvel came hand-in-hand with X-Men movie rights returning to Disney. Fantastic Four fans can only hope…
