LEGO’s massive Super Mario Mighty Bowser model invades Gamescom

The huge LEGO Super Mario Mighty Bowser build and one other is on display at Gamescom to promote the upcoming model.

Gamescom, the annual gaming event held in Cologne, is the latest home of the enormous Mighty Bowser model that was first showcased at San Diego Comic-Con 2022. This build uses over 663,900 pieces to depict the iconic Super Mario villain with moving parts.

Now, as those attending Gamescom get to see the show floor, we know that this model moved from San Diego to Cologne. Twitter user ToraTsume highlighted the display, which features the huge Bowser build as well as smaller Toad and Yoshi models.

Promoting the upcoming LEGO Super Mario set at a gaming event seems like a good idea on the LEGO Group’s part and there’s still opportunities to display these builds elsewhere before 71411 The Mighty Bowser is released on October 1 for £229.99 / $269.99 / €269.99.

The upcoming LEGO Super Mario set acts as both a display piece and a functional build, compatible with the existing course-building system for the ultimate boss battle as the Bowser figure features moving limbs and can shoot out a fireball.
