Even more retiring LEGO sets sell out for good online

More and more retiring LEGO sets are selling out for good at the official online store, well ahead of this year’s Insiders Weekend and Black Friday deals.

The biggest gamble in any LEGO collector’s life is whether to wait for last-minute deals on retiring sets or grab them before they’re gone for good (even if it means paying full price). That risk feels even more amplified in 2025 as retiring sets are selling out at an unprecedented rate at LEGO.com, particularly in the US, where stock seems to be slipping away faster than ever.

Joining previously sold-out sets including 10332 Medieval Town Square and 75393 TIE Fighter & X-Wing Mash-up are the likes of 75387 Boarding the Tantive IV, 75377 Invisible Hand, 76291 The Avengers Assemble: Age of Ultron, 76191 Infinity Gauntlet, 76274 Batman with the Batmobile vs. Harley Quinn and Mr. Freeze and 76919 2023 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car. All of these are sold out in the US at the time of writing.

In the UK, multiple retiring sets are listed as ‘temporarily out of stock’, which suggests they may come back eventually – but there are no guarantees, and if they do come back in stock they may not last long. Sets in this category at the moment include 76391 Hogwarts Icons Collectors’ Edition, 10355 Blacktron Renegade, 71822 Source Dragon of Motion and 76178 Daily Bugle.

76295 The Avengers Helicarrier, meanwhile, is one of a handful of sets sold out completely in the UK. Others include 75380 Mos Espa Podrace Diorama and 42146 Liebherr Crawler Crane LR 13000.

The moral of this particular story is that it’s not always worth waiting for last-minute discounts on retiring sets – especially those at the very top of your wishlist. Some of these retired models may still be available through third-party retailers, but you’ll need to try your luck at LEGO Stores for the exclusives (such as 10332 Medieval Town Square).

For those retiring sets you’re happy to gamble on (such as those available with immediate delivery), Black Friday is right around the corner and will surely have plenty of discounts up for grabs. Otherwise, 40774 Classic Animation Scenes is currently free with all orders above £115 / $130 / €130 to sweeten the deal ahead of LEGO Insiders Weekend and Black Friday.
