New image of LEGO Christmas GWP, 40565 Santa’s Workshop

Another image has appeared online of the upcoming GWP, 40565 Santa’s Workshop. The alternative angle shows the building’s interior from the rear.

If anyone is waiting until they get a better look at the latest GWP before they pull the trigger on a Christmas LEGO purchase, wait no longer. A new image has appeared on the German official LEGO website, on the ‘downloadable instructions’ page. The instructions themselves aren’t available yet, but the image shows the set from a previously unseen angle.

The picture shows Santa, plus one of his Elves, busying themselves in the workshop. They are loading up various micro-scale toys onto a conveyer belt, which disappears through a hole in the wall. This presumably leads to the big red guy’s sleigh outside. If t doesn’t, then Santa really needs to get an efficiency expert in to review his manual handling procedures.

The rest of the interior consists of various Christmassy greebling, with colourful parcels, bottles and gizmos scattered around the room. Santa has clearly invested in technology, as there appears to be a computer screen in the corner, although it’s unclear exactly what it’s displaying.

The spending threshold for 40565 Santa’s Workshop has not yet been confirmed, but as a guide, 40564 Winter Elves Scene was given away with purchases over £170 / $170 / €170. The two sets are designed to fit together, although given that the backdrop of the Elves set is supposedly some ‘distant’ mountains, the two sets may look a little odd next to each other.
