Pharrell Williams returned to where it all started to speak to current residents for a special giveaway, just as the new Piece by Piece movie releases.
WKTR News 3 attended an event earlier today at Atlantis Apartments in Virginia Beach for a special appearance by famous musician Pharrell Williams, who just so happens to be the subject of the latest LEGO movie that is out this weekend in the US.
The star visited his old neighbourhood to speak to residents, as well as offer his support for a new pool to be added to the apartment complex. Given the importance of the location in his success in the music industry, it makes sense that he also had some LEGO sets to give away as well as sneakers.
"There was no way I could make a film about my life without showing Atlantis Apartments," Pharrell told the crowd. "I just want to say 'thank you' to this neighbourhood."
