10 things we still have to look forward to from LEGO in 2026

The end of June is upon us, which means we’re pretty much halfway through 2026 – and there’s still plenty to come for LEGO before the year’s out. Here are 10 things we’re looking forward to…

This has already been a productive year for the LEGO Group and a damaging year for our wallets, with sets like 11377 The Lord of the Rings: Minas Tirith, 71861 The Old Town and 72153 Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise competing for a slice of our LEGO budget. But fingers crossed you’ve got a little left in the tank, because there’s still much more to come.

Some of these sets are still rumoured and should be taken with a grain of salt, while others have already been confirmed or even revealed by the LEGO Group. Either way, this list paints a positive picture of what’s still to come in the second half of 2026, even with the bumper January and June release days already in the rearview mirror.

Shrek Collectible Minifigures

A series of Shrek LEGO Collectible Minifigures has been rumoured for quite a while now, and the LEGO Group outright confirmed it’s on the way later this year thanks to a catalogue listing. The first LEGO Shrek minifigure is Puss in Boots, available in 72423 Shrek, Donkey & Puss in Boots, and gives us an idea of how the LEGO Group might approach such a series.

More LEGO Star Trek

Untitled

If you thought or were perhaps worried that 10356 USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D was the sum total of things we’d get from LEGO Star Trek, good news: more is apparently on the way in 2026, courtesy of 11385 Star Trek: The Original Series Bridge Diorama. Said to include 1,701 pieces for $199.99, this one’s rumoured to drop September 1.

Another big Batmobile

We’ve had first, second and third 2026 Batmobiles, yes, but what about fourth 2026 Batmobile? Also rumoured for September is 76355 Batman Returns Batmobile, but unlike its Speed Champions-style counterparts from back in March, this one’s believed to retail for $219.99 – perhaps putting it closer in scope and scale to 76328 Batman: The Classic TV Series Batmobile.

21065 Sagrada Família

LEGO Architecture 21065 Sagrada Familia-featured

Here’s one we know is definitely coming: the biggest LEGO set of all time, 21065 Sagrada Família. This 12,060-piece behemoth has been revealed months ahead of its November 2026 release, which is handy for anyone hoping to pre-order it to take advantage of double points or a gift-with-purchase between now and then.

LEGO Dragon Ball

Shenron

LEGO Dragon Ball is said to be getting a full, dedicated theme in 2027, but before then we apparently have at least one LEGO Icons release to look forward to in 2026. 11390 Shenron is currently thought to include 1,760 pieces and retail for somewhere in the region of $200 in the US. This one’s rumoured to be landing on shelves in November.

LEGO X-Files

LEGO Ideas x-files

Brent Waller’s The X-Files: The Truth Is Out There took pole prize in LEGO Ideas’ nostalgia contest over a year ago now – or on June 25, 2025, to be exact – which is typically how long these crowdsourced sets spend in the design process. Rumours suggest it’s right around the corner, and it’s not the only LEGO Ideas set believed to be landing in the second half of 2026 (more on that below).

A giant Ministry of Magic

LEGO Harry Potter typically drops a new direct-to-consumer set for the start of the wizarding school year on September 1, and this year we’re apparently getting a giant Ministry of Magic comprised of 3,491 pieces. There’s no word yet on how it might look or who it might include, but for that number of elements we’re hoping for something pretty magical.

LEGO PlayStation

Why should Nintendo, SEGA and Atari have all the fun? This is the question PlayStation fans have been asking for a little while now, and the LEGO Group is reportedly gearing up to answer later this year with what sounds like a buildable version of Sony’s first home console. 72306 PlayStation 1 is rumoured to drop in December for $159.99 / €159.99, just as we’re all playing GTA VI…

Godzilla

Releasing LEGO Ideas Godzilla in 2027 could make a lot of sense featured image

Another LEGO Ideas set rumoured to be stomping on to shelves this year is MattE720’s 21375 Godzilla. We don’t have a price tag for this one yet, but it’s said to include 5,360 pieces, making it one of the biggest sets of 2026 – a fitting title for any kaiju. You’ve got a bit of time to save up either way, as the rumour mill suggests this will be our Black Friday 2026 LEGO set, dropping on November 27.

More LEGO The Legend of Zelda

Finally, March’s 77093 Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle is thought to be just one of two The Legend of Zelda LEGO sets for 2026. The other one will apparently be numbered 77094, but here’s hoping you didn’t want any more info than that, because at the moment… there is none. No price, subject matter, piece count or even release date. But hey, the Ocarina of Time remake is coming at some point this year too. Just saying.

Keep an eye on our LEGO 2026 sets page for a complete rundown of everything confirmed, rumoured or already released this year.
