Next year’s LEGO Marvel line-up is already sounding pretty promising, so here are five things we’d love to see in the January sets that could take them to the next level.
The first rumours of 2027’s LEGO Marvel range dropped earlier this month, pointing to a Spider-Man-heavy wave that also tackles What if…?, Jeff the Landshark and a Marvel-themed skyline.
We’ve already mulled over a few possibilities for 67006 Marvel Skyline and ruminated on the precise source material for 67005 Strange Supreme Sanctum, but here are five more things we want to see from these sets – should these rumoured details prove true…
Willem Dafoe and Kirsten Dunst

The LEGO Marvel team has already tackled the second and third instalments in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy in the past 12 months, so it’s high time the original 2002 movie got some love too.
From the set name alone, 67004 Spider-Man vs Green Goblin feels ripe for bringing back Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin, complete with the mask that was absent from the No Way Home sets, alongside Kirsten Dunst’s Mary Jane Watson.
MCU mechs

Death, taxes and Marvel mechs: you know where we’re going with this one. But these pocket money-priced sets have been getting increasingly more interesting lately, and there are a couple of promising options on the table for 2027, including 67003 Thor vs Doctor Doom Mechs.
What we’re really hoping for here are mechs based on the MCU, hopefully offering a cheaper way to pick up Doctor Doom’s inevitable Avengers: Doomsday minifigure. There’s no word yet on that coming along at all, but it feels like a pretty safe bet if we get a tie-in wave for the biggest Marvel movie in years. And why wouldn't we?
A tiny Jeff the Land Shark figure

Maybe the most surprising inclusion in the LEGO Marvel 2027 sets list so far is 67023 Jeff the Land Shark, which by the title alone sounds like another LEGO buildable character. This one would be pulled pretty much directly from the comics, as while Jeff apparently has some sort of adaptation in the works, one of his only TV appearances to date was in 2024’s Disney+ special LEGO Marvel Avengers: Mission Demolition.
Jeff the Land Shark’s rep has shot up in recent months thanks to Marvel Rivals, and even if this rumoured LEGO Marvel set turns out to be a buildable character, we’d very much like to see a tiny minifigure-scale version included alongside the big one. When else would we get the opportunity?
A different Scarlet Spider

We’ve already discussed the potential of bringing back Ben Reilly’s Scarlet Spider in 67002 Scarlet Spider Mech, but what if the LEGO Marvel team shot in a different direction? Peter Parker’s original clone isn’t the only character to have assumed the Scarlet Spider mantle over the years, and a Kaine Parker version with dual-moulded black and red arms could look pretty cool.
A Spider-trike

Most of us will likely be picking up 67001 Spider-Man vs Demogoblin for the minifigures alone – this would be our first Demogoblin ever – so it doesn’t matter too much what the rumoured 82 pieces build into.
For that reason alone, it would be pretty funny to see the LEGO Marvel team tip its hat to one of the silliest LEGO Spider-Man sets of all time, 2014’s 76014 Spider-Trike vs. Electro. With great power comes great responsibility... all of which can be set aside to see Spidey back on three wheels.
