Look out for fire at LEGO Ideas with this towering 10K project

LEGO Ideas is on fire lately, as more and more projects crack 10,000 votes one after another – but the latest to do so can at least keep watch as it happens.

TintedSlimes’ Fire Lookout Tower pays homage to the structures long used to keep forests safe from flames, and the people who manned them. It’s taken just over a year to rack up the 10,000 votes necessary to progress to the review stage, where it will now be considered for production as an official LEGO Ideas set.

“I've always found these structures neat, and always thought the stories of people staying on watch for months just to keep forests and the surrounding areas safe from fires admirable,” the builder explained on their project page. “That made me want to take a crack at making it in LEGO form, and I feel that it turned out quite well!”

As well as the tower itself, the build features a house, storage shed and a small wooded area (but, thankfully, no LEGO fire pieces). There’s also a minifigure-scale Osborne Fire Map – used in real life to determine the location of a fire from the smoke alone – and two minifigures.

TintedSlimes is pitching this as either a standalone model or one that could integrate into the wooded area of a wider LEGO city layout. Will that be enough to convince the LEGO Ideas team to give it the green light? We’ll find out alongside the results of the second 2026 review, which will likely be in early 2027.
