LEGO Ideas second review of 2026 kicks off with Green Iguana Mecha
The first LEGO Ideas review of 2026 may have only just closed, but the second has already begun, bringing with it Green Iguana Mecha.
A whopping 97 projects managed to make their way into the first LEGO Ideas review of 2026, some of which are destined to become physical sets at some point down the road. While the theme’s design team mull over exactly which ones those will be, the second review of 2026 has now kicked off, starting with a rather scaly robotic reptile.
Green Iguana Mecha is the brainchild of Mitsuru Nikaido, who recently had his Blue Whale Mech build rejected from the second LEGO Ideas review of 2025. Undeterred, the fan designer has created yet another ‘Mechanical Organism’, one based on a potential future apocalyptic Earth scenario.

According to Mitsuru, Green Iguana Mecha is merely one of many AI-engineered lifeforms adapted to its natural environment and based on the living animal widely found in Central and South America.
It’s unclear from the images provided if the mostly grey and black Green Iguana Mecha has poseable limbs with claws or a moveable tail, but it may just be that the spiky creation is locked into one specific pose for display purposes.
We’ll have a long wait to find out if that’s the case though, with the results of the second LEGO Ideas review of 2026 unlikely to be known until sometime early next year.
