LEGO Ideas 2026 review closes and parking lot extra spotted
The LEGO Ideas first 2026 review has officially closed with 97 projects, and one extra project has moved into the parking lot subtly, too.
The first 2026 LEGO Ideas review is no longer accepting submissions as both the LNER Class A1 ‘Flying Scotsman’ by InterBrick, and the Rocket League Playset by 67c3D make it over the finish line just in time. The train submission recreates the iconic locomotive with 2,327 pieces, and it would follow up on the elegant 21344 The Orient Express Train as LEGO Ideas’ second steam train model.
The Rocket League Playset is drastically different, depicting elements of the game, including several of the cars, the goal and the ball. The LEGO Group has a strong partnership with Epic Games, giving this project more of a chance than others in the first 2026 review.
These projects join the 95 others, all now being considered for future releases in LEGO Ideas. That’s not where today’s news stops, though. Read on to see how the parking lot has expanded, despite no mention of such an expansion in last week’s review results.

The LEGO Ideas team recently announced the results of the second 2025 review round, moving one project out of the parking, switching another in and rejecting two models within it. That officially left two models in the parking lot – Daft Punk Concert by RobotRock and Lunch Atop a Skyscraper by DallasBricks. However, a model similar to that latter submission has also subtly moved into the parking lot with no fanfare.
P.D.G’s Lunch Atop a Skyscraper is now confirmed to be in the parking lot, as stated in an official update provided by the LEGO Ideas team on its listing.
“Congratulations again to P.D.G for reaching 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas, and to everyone for all your support for the Lunch Atop a Skyscraper project,” the official comment states.
“As of today, we’re still looking into the possibility of releasing a set based on this project and have decided to place it in the Parking Lot. We will keep it in review (for a maximum of three review periods in total) until we have made a final decision. Once we have a decision, we’ll share it with you here and on the LEGO Ideas blog.”
Considering the similarity of these two submissions, it’s only fair that they both be considered for a future set, and we may well see the LEGO Ideas team approve both for one singular build, giving credit to both fan designers accordingly. That’s only speculation on our part, but this situation is the first of its kind.
For now, here are the confirmed projects in the parking lot, with a total of 175 projects currently in review on LEGO Ideas. That’s 75 from the third 2025 review, three in the parking lot, and 97 from the first 2025 review.
