‘Unconventional’ LEGO Ideas project bears down on the review stage
An ‘unconventional’ LEGO Ideas project has just reached the first 2026 review, as 10,000 LEGO fans have shown their affection for the world’s largest land predator.
Ideas user bart_afol’s Bear – The Largest Land Predator – Statue has racked up the necessary votes to be considered for production as an official LEGO Ideas set, using what the builder describes as ‘an unconventional construction’ to pay tribute to brown bears. The model builds out the silhouette of a bear, with space carved out inside to reflect its natural habitat.
“I designed in colours referring to the forests where this predator is the undisputed king,” bart_afol explains on the project page. “The build interior is filled with mountain and forest landscapes and raw shapes created in relation to wood will certainly be appreciated by nature lovers. In this project you can also build deer and doe in a simple style.”
This is the 67th project to join the first 2026 review. The LEGO Ideas team will now decide whether to produce it as an official LEGO set or reject it, but we probably won’t find out either way until the back end of this year when the results of the review are revealed.
