Want to write about LEGO? We want to hear from you

Fancy putting fingers to keys to write about LEGOBrick Fanatics is always on the lookout for ambitious and talented new team members, so get in touch.

As our audience continues to grow we’re always keen to hear from writers and journalists who would like to contribute to our website, social media channels, newsletter, YouTube channel and other aspects of Brick Fanatics. Potential roles could encompass feature writing, reviews, video production and much more – but with news writing always at the heart of any Brick Fanatics contributor’s toolbox.

Essential skills therefore include a high level of written English, precise attention to detail, a comprehensive knowledge of LEGO, creativity, flexibility and ideally experience in news writing. Knowledge and understanding of how to leverage social media platforms, an understanding of SEO best practices and intermediate photo editing skills are a bonus.

Brick Fanatics has established itself as one of the leading providers of news, reviews and feature coverage on all things LEGO, with high editorial standards required to maintain that reputation. A professional drive, an ambition to develop new and potentially cross-platform skills, and a flair for creativity are all things we’d love to see from new team members.

We’ve also expanded into the world of LEGO apps with Brick Search, which offers some equally interesting work around LEGO-related content, marketing and product management. If those are more your areas of expertise, you’re just as welcome to say hello – and it’s a very exciting time for the app right now, hot on the heels of the launch of Brick Search Plus and its best-ever minifigure scanner.

Freelance roles are paid at a competitive rate and will fit into a seven-day rota, with some evening and weekend work involved, with flexibility around the needs of the entire team. Please note that we are not hiring for specific roles or jobs at this moment in time, but we are open to approaches if you’re interested in joining the team. The right person will ultimately create a role for themselves.

If that sounds like you, feel free to get in touch by sending a full CV, examples of your writing (preferably news writing!) and a short introductory note to chris@brickfanatics.com. This is an open-ended invitation to keen LEGO writers, marketers and content creators, with no firm closing date.
