Every up-scaled LEGO minifigure so far – May 2026

With the LEGO up-scaled minifigure line constantly growing, it can be difficult to keep track of just how many the LEGO Group has released – so here’s all of them to date…

With the confirmation that we’ll be getting the first up-scaled LEGO Star Wars set in June with 75461 Up-Scaled Darth Vader Minifigure, now feels like the perfect time to look back at the entire collection, starting at the very beginning.

The first up-scaled minifigures actually arrived as a pair. Released in 2021, this set brings together an iconic duo, but they’re not necessarily the best showcase of what the format can do. For the time, they were perfectly acceptable, but in hindsight the faces look a little unsettling, while the outfits feel relatively plain. Still, it remains the only set to include two up-scaled minifigures in one box, which helps it stand out in the wider line-up.

40504 A Minifigure Tribute

Price: 599 DKK Pieces: 1,041 Release date: March 1, 2023

The pièce de résistance of the range is undoubtedly this 6x-scale Captain Redbeard. Available exclusively from the LEGO House in Billund, it arrived nearly two years after the first attempt, and the improvements are immediately clear. The hook hand, peg leg, and oversized hat are all brilliantly realised, resulting in an all-round standout set. However, that exclusivity means picking one up today will likely cost around £100 on the secondary market.

40649 Up-Scaled LEGO Minifigure

Price: £54.99 / $59.99 / €59.99 Pieces: 654 Release date: June 1, 2023

As far as up-scaled minifigures go, this is about as straightforward as it gets, but that simplicity works in its favour. There’s something undeniably appealing about its classic, no-frills design. It also earns extra credit for including a standard minifigure alongside the build, something no other set in the theme has done so far.

40819 Up-Scaled Racing Driver Minifigure

Price: £54.99 / $59.99 / €59.99 Pieces: 694 Release date: March 1, 2025

When ranking these sets earlier this year, this one placed at the bottom. Not because it’s a bad model, but because it feels like something is missing. The Octan branding is a nice touch, but the helmet and zipper detailing lack the same level of refinement seen elsewhere. It’s still a solid build, just not one that stands out in an increasingly strong line-up.

40767 Up-Scaled Baby Astronaut (GWP)

Threshold: Free with orders above £135 / $150 / €150 Pieces: 250 Release date: May 15, 2025

The only gift-with-purchase in the range, and ‘up-scaled’ feels like a slightly generous description for such a compact build. This limited-edition set was available through LEGO Stores and LEGO.com in 2025, meaning it now lives exclusively on the secondary market. Thankfully, it’s relatively affordable at around £23, and offers something genuinely different, with a uniquely cute take on the classic space minifigure.

40820 Up-Scaled Santa Minifigure

Price: £54.99 / $59.99 / €59.99 Pieces: 761 Release date: October 1, 2025

The only seasonal entry in the theme so far, this Santa minifigure doubles as a ready-made festive display piece, although it could just as easily stay on the shelf year-round. It captures the classic LEGO Santa design well, even if there are minor issues, such as the belt not wrapping all the way around. Overall, though, it’s a strong and characterful addition to the line.

40921 Up-Scaled Blue Astronaut Minifigure

Price: £54.99 / $59.99 / €59.99 Pieces: 793 Release date: March 1, 2026

A standout entry, and one that shows just how far the theme has come. While an almost entirely blue model might sound visually flat, the finished build feels anything but. With an improved helmet design, added air tank, and the use of Technic hinges over ball joints, this set marks a clear evolution for the theme, and suggests the LEGO Group is continuing to refine the formula.

75461 Up-Scaled Darth Vader Minifigure

Price: £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99 Pieces: 1,028 Release date: June 1, 2026

It was only a matter of time before the theme expanded into a galaxy far, far away. This marks the first LEGO Star Wars entry in the up-scaled minifigure line, and only the second licensed release overall, arriving five years after the first.

The large fabric cape is a welcome inclusion – particularly for fans who feel LEGO Star Wars often underuses cloth elements – while the (unfortunately stickered) chest details translate well at this scale. The helmet may divide opinion, but overall it’s a confident first step into licensed territory.

Is Darth Vader the most exciting possible choice for a debut? Perhaps not, but it’s still a fun and visually striking addition to the collection.
