Reimagine the tale of Red Riding Hood with LEGO Rebuild the World

The LEGO Group has rebuilt a classic fairy tale as part of their ongoing campaign, with Red Riding Hood no longer falling for the big bad wolf’s tricks.

It seems that the LEGO Group are expanding their horizons with the Rebuild the World program as a new video is evolving a work of fiction, giving the tale of Little Red Riding Hood a wit-filled twist.

Owners of 21315 Pop-Up Book might recognise the build used at the start of the below video as a printed element replaces the ‘Once Upon a Brick’ design with a new title themed to the fairy tale. Though we may never see this brick in physical form, it has us wondering if interchangeable covers were ever on the table for the LEGO Ideas set.

The rest of the video plays out exactly how you wouldn’t expect, from Red Riding Hood recognising the wolf at every turn to granny taking up woodworking while listening to crime drama documentaries.

The original 21315 Pop-Up Book included Red Riding Hood as one of two stories to represent in the set, but it shouldn’t be too difficult to transform it into this modern version if you so wish.

Unfortunately, 21315 Pop-Up Book has retired so should you be wanting to recreate the fairy tale for yourself, then you might just have to wait and see if the model makes a return like 92176 NASA Apollo Saturn V.
