The second LEGO Ideas 2022 review results have been officially announced

The results of the LEGO Ideas second 2022 review have been announced, with two more fan models added to the line-up of future sets.

There are currently 24 fan designs in the running for the first LEGO Ideas review for 2023, with the reveal of which ones have made it through successfully likely to be announced in October. In the meantime, the LEGO Ideas team has been busy evaluating 51 brick-built creations that managed to reach 10,000 supporters between early May 2022 and September 2022.

Now the results of the LEGO Ideas second 2022 review have been revealed, with two new models on their way to becoming physical sets at some point in the future. As announced by LEGO Ideas Engagement Manager Hasan Jensen and LEGO Model Designer Ollie Gregory, over 51 builds were evaluated, with John Cramp (Bricked1980) and Simon Scott (Tvrulesmylife) delivering original submissions that managed to suitably impress the Review Board.

Red Telephone Box was born out of John Cramp’s love for British culture and design, with the LEGO model replicating the details of the full-size version, right down to the crown decorations and phone books hidden inside.

Simon Scott’s submission of The Nightmare Before Christmas is an homage to Tim Burton’s stop-motion movie and the second time the model has managed to reach the 10K mark. Packed with spooky details and minifigures of Jack Skellington and Sally, the design was said to have a ‘renewed focus on playability to really get immersed into the story.’

There’s currently no word yet regarding the potential final look, pricing or availability for either set, but more details will be forthcoming from the LEGO Ideas team at a later date.
