The LEGO retro tin sign is available for a bit longer

The retro tin sign the LEGO Group gave away over the VIP weekend is still available, and now it will be until November 25.

Drawing inspiration from the 1950s era of the LEGO brand, 5007016 Retro Tin Sign is one of the classier promotional items in recent years. It’s described by the LEGO Group as a great display for real fans, and that would appear to be self-evident. To add it to your collection, you’ll need to sign up for the VIP rewards scheme and spend £250 / $250 / €250 in a single transaction.

Not for the faint of heart, then, but fortunately there’s a few high-priced sets for you to pick up at the moment. 10292 The Friends Apartments might be a good start; recently released to accompany 21319 Central Perk, the two sets currently cost £200 / $210 / €220 at LEGO.com.

If you’d prefer to get the sign with a single purchase, there are at least a dozen sets that would net you the sign right now. 76178 Daily Bugle and 71741 NINJAGO City Gardens each cost £274.99 / $299.99 / €299.99, netting you the sign without spending over the odds. They’re also some of the most lavish sets in their respective themes; while they’re designed to connect to various other LEGO sets, they also work well as standalone models.

If you’re keen on the sign but not a VIP, now may be a particularly good time to sign up. New members receive a VIP keyring with their next LEGO.com purchase, in addition to the other discounts and rewards the site offers. It’s possible the sign (and the more expensive qualifying purchases) will sell out quickly, so if you’re keen to get this sign, don’t wait too long. Visit LEGO.com (UK), LEGO.com (US) or your respective EU store now to start your shopping.
